She called upon the board to acknowledge the contributions of these professionals with compensation that matches their value and dedication.

In addition to the discussion on fair compensation, the board celebrated the contributions of retiring staff members and recognized individuals who have been honored as educators and support staff of the year. Superintendent David Aderhold expressed appreciation for the 34 retiring staff members, who collectively served 866 years in the district, and congratulated upcoming graduates.

Administrative updates included the appointment of Azure Diggs as the new principal of Village Elementary School and other personnel transitions within the district.
